OUR APPROACH
INITIAL CONSULTATION
Week 1
We meet in person or via a video call and get to know each other and start discussing your lifestyle, budget, timeline, goals, and needs for the design. The findings from this initial consultation provide us with the foundation for a truly successful project. Initial consultations are normally a minimum of two hours and require payment in advance. They can easily be adjusted or held over multiple times to meet your schedule.
DESIGN AGREEMENT
Week 2 to 3
We believe a keen eye for organization and detail are at the heart of every successful design project. Following a successful consultation, we take our notes from the initial meeting to start the planning process to deliver your ideal space. During this stage we start defining the project scope and scale and give a comprehensive list of fees for design services. Once agreement has been reached, an initial deposit is required to move to the pre-design meeting.
PRE-DESIGN MEETING
Week 3 to 4
This is when it really starts to get exciting. We strongly believe that every successful design project has deep collaboration at the heart of them and the pre-design meeting is designed to set the stage for a beautiful long-term collaboration between IDC and our clients.
During this stage we meet with you to discuss the unique vision you have for your project and encourage you to highlight any inspiration you may have seen in the form of photos, websites, Instagram feeds, magazine clippings and more to ensure our design team is ready to take your vision and bring it to life. We then compare these inspirations with our notes and discussion points from the initial consultation to influence and inspire the overall design concept.
DESIGN CONCEPT
Week 4 to 8
We have years of experience communicating our vision to our clients. The notes collected from the initial consultation and pre-design meeting are now brought to life by the IDC team in the form of concept boards, floor plans, and detailed CAD drawings. This is our opportunity to align on the direction of the project, both functionally and aesthetically.
CLIENT PRESENTATION
Week 8 to 10
After all parties agree on the design concept, we will present you with final design selections that are timeless in beauty and functional in nature, fulfilling your vision and delivering on the initial brief while staying on budget and most importantly the timeline. At this point our selections will address everything from furniture to light fixtures, paint colors and accessories, our goal is to provide you with a suite of selections that match your style and desired outcomes.
DESIGN IMPLEMENTATION
Approximately 3 to 6 months following client presentation
We bring a network of general contractors or your preferred contractors into this phase, tendering and receiving bids from each of them that are then presented to you with a comprehensive breakdown of options. This ensures you can make the most informed decision for your home while staying true to your vision. We then manage all phases of implementation and construction with consistent site visits that are designed to ensure you are updated throughout the project.
THE FINAL WALK-THROUGH
Following project completion
This is the moment your vision and dreams finally come to life! At Interior Designs Co we care deeply about exceeding your expectations and fulfilling your unique vision, and in order to do this effectively a final walk-through of the project between yourself, Interior Design Co’s lead designer and the general contractor is critical. At this point you are able to inspect your home with a fine-toothed comb to ensure the final outcome is everything you dreamed of and much, much more.
